Four Chord Game

Instructions

  • One person chooses a chord progression including 3 or 4 chords and plays it on the guitar (or chosen instrument) in a consistent strumming pattern and pace.
  • Members of the group listen to the music and think of the lyrics for any song they want. They must try to figure out and work the song lyrics into the pattern and pace of the song and sing the lyrics alongside the strumming pattern - for example Lose Yourself, My Heart Will Go on and Humpty Dumpty could all be put into the same pattern – you would just need to work it out.
  • Note* Alternatives could be piano, or you could create a percussion beat if possible.
