Editing your music video

Instructions

Paper edit:

Watch all the footage and make sure you have what you need. Review the shoot plan and then start into doing a paper edit and label all the footage if not labelled already and map out the order of the footage by identifying what clips you need and what sections of them.

Identify your edit software

Please note there is lots of paid packages, but most people don’t have these on most PC’s you will have free software as part of your windows package you usually have Windows Movie Maker or on Macs you should have I Movie.

Import your footage

These packages have an add media package which let you input the clips you have.

Order your clips

Make sure you put the clips in the correct order.

Audio Music

Use the audio track you have.

Check your video and export

If you are happy with your videos and want to upload it to YouTube, Facebook or your blog you need to export.

Tip - Remember to review the shoot plan and check with the people or person that has shot it and check you have all the footage you need.
